--Along with local trails you can also attend large events like regional hashes (Pacific North West Inter Hash, Texas Inter Hash, Gold Rush H3, and so many more), national hashes (Inter Americas, Nash Hash, Euro Hash, and more), and then you have the biggest one of all the Inter Hash. All these hashes are not just show up for a few hours and you are done, nope! Typically they are a 3 day (Fri, Sat, & Sun) event and most often they have pre and post events with them.--

Inter America 2025 – Part 4: Sunday Trail, Part 3

Now that we were back on the main wide path—and I was no longer an FRB—I at least got to share my traditional yell with the girlfriend:

Me: “Flybrator!”

Her: “I love you!”

With that complete, I pushed forward again. I tried and tried to pass everyone, but I was pretty far back, and the photo ops kept slowing me down. One spot had three small gators sunbathing—very cool, very worth stopping for.

I kept running, passing hashers and muggles alike, until eventually the wide path came to an end. And there it was: another BN. Here I ran into two wonderful hashers I seem to find everywhere I travel—Porkless and More Legs. I first met them at Outer Hash in 2022. Now that is a story, and one I absolutely need to tell! I’ll make a special blog for it—let’s call it “Naughty Roommate 2022!”

Porkless, More Legs, and I caught up for a bit before the girlfriend and most of the pack arrived. We drank whatever we had left, chatted some more, and then walked down the gravel path toward the area where closing circle would be held.

Lake Time

At the end of the trail we found our bus and several hare vehicles. Between the cars and the bus was a boat launch—and that’s where a bunch of us decided to make the best of life. Many hashers got into the lake to cool off, splash around, or to wash mud off after creatively zenning.

Which reason was mine?

You’re wrong. It was both. LOL.

A Cajun Feast

CoonA$$ truly rocked this trail, but we had no idea just how lucky we were until we saw dinner. The kennel had cooked us a full traditional Cajun meal:

·         Home-cooked jambalaya

·         Red beans with rice

·         Bread pudding topped with an amazing bourbon sauce

And there were leftovers, too! I ended up with two plates and an extra serving. No shame.

After eating, we had a very short circle because we were running behind schedule. The main event had a dinner planned for all InterAm attendees plus a closing ceremony—but honestly, I don’t think a single person on our bus complained about missing that dinner. Not when we had homemade Cajun food straight from the hares themselves!

The Ride Back

During the two-hour ride back, someone got a little social… meaning Dirty decided to become the unofficial Bus RA, Haz inspired me on the previous bus ride back from trail on Saturday.

Since the closing circle had been so short, I figured the bus needed a proper closing circle. So I had everyone introduce themselves, share a few stories, and we even sang a few songs. Somehow I ended up with another squeeze bottle from the shot check—so yes, there were more Dirty shots in your mouth. I kept it short and sweet this time, sweet in your month.

After about an hour of entertainment I stopped. Some people slept, others talked with old and new friends, and the rest just enjoyed the ride.

Final Thoughts

Thank you so much, CoonA$$ H3, for the amazing adventure and for giving me

enough material to fill an entire blog series just on your trail. On-on, and hope to hash with you again in the future!

And thank you for taking the time to read my blogs. Did they give you a laugh or two? I hope so. Please “like” if you don’t mind, and I’d love to read your respectful comments.

One more blog is coming—my final post about how the Pacific Northwest represented itself at InterAm25. Stay tuned!
